Now we are amidst a media generation, everything is real time. The technology allows us use computer to control different soft material. Such as water mist/ light…etc. Using those technology setting that changes space structure become soften and invisible, appears at a specific time.

Another kind of material can be projection media, which can be a virtual space, people can create real-time visual and acoustic environments that span physically separate areas. They can also control the recording, accessing and replaying of images and sounds from those environments. The energy is converted into image that resonates across the structure.

We could combine those different materials to define a space.

A.Blur Building

The Blur Building by is a media pavilion for Swiss Expo 2002 now under construction at the base of Lake Neuchatel in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland.

From piles in the water, a tensegrity system of rectilinear struts and diagonal rods cantilevers out over the lake. Ramps and walkways weave through the tensegrity system, some of them providing a counterweight for the structure.

The pavilion is made of filtered lake water shot as a fine mist through 13,000 fog nozzles creating an artificial cloud that measures 300 feet wide by 200 feet deep by 65 feet high. A built-in weather station controls fog output in response to shifting climatic conditions such as temperature, humidity, wind direction, and wind speed.

B.Reso-Net

ResoNet awakens from a dormant sleep to ‘Bloom’ in Frankfurt’s green-belt. Emerging from its origins in the forests of Cumbria; it morphs to reform in the urban forests of skyscrapers and buildings.

ResoNet visualises the resonant frequencies inherent in the surrounding environment, via the interaction of the public and adjacent stimulus detected by the LED net. By using Lo-Fi techniques ResoNet creates a cascade of light triggered by the vibrations detected across the structure.

ResoNet’s suspended web drapes over a void within a cluster of trees, like a vortex. A series of vibration sensors & LED modules are fixed at key intersections on the tensile network, to detect minute vibrations as a result of human and natural activity. Be it a brush of a hand, or a passing breeze, the energy is converted into light that resonates across the structure, immersing the public in an efflorescent visual of flashing lights.

ResoNet explores the boundaries between nature, art, architecture, and technology; to create emergent physical & ephemeral conditions. The Award winning ResoNet has participated in the FRED07 (UK), Bright LED Biennale (S. Korea), LFA Greening Bays (UK). We would like to explore further avenues with greater collaboration to develop the next sustainable evolutions of ResoNet.

Our motion can control two behaviors. One is memory, another is tracing.

This project claims that memory and tracing are different things. This difference is due to the fact that our experiences of ‘tracing’ recognizes the process less related to the original object and more involved in making a new memory of it.
 Tracing is a form of expressing memory, free from its past or original

The tracing image can response human, when motion start then become to the pixel image .It works through the connection of the camera and projector to a computer that tracks the people moving by processing the video image using software; that software then generates the diagram, which is then projected onto the human body.

That memory frames that represent the images of what people have done in front of this piece, so it is like a wall that absorbs the memories of what happens in front of it. The software can change image color according to our motion, and represents a way of creating movies with your body and also the relationship between the body and the screen.

Dialogue

The project attempts to stimulate and heighten our perceptual sensibility of spatial qualities through interplay of objects and sound within a designated environment.

We gather the quantified sound data of one environment representing its spatial information, which is embodied as an object in a second environment. The character of the quantified sound data determines the scale, density and shape of the object. Then we extract from it the sound data of our most noticeable everyday life, human footsteps and human vocal, to trigger the choreographing process of a sound piece from different sound layers of our daily live. There are three sound layers simulating events, movement and space in the piece. The spatial information of this piece is then embodied as a second object.  It is in the second environment where people experience the different spatial quality from the sound piece; the differentiated affect and interplaying relationship of the two objects.

I’m trying to do a demo of the memory world.

each objects means different moment of memory.

and we can change the moment by light and sound. And those item also can record images from the past time.
